All about our vans and us

Started by Mike, Daryl, James and Tim, Bare Bones is a real family business. Mike has worked in hospitality all his life, working as operations director for many fast food restaurants. Making the move into event catering, Mike has managed to bring his eye for precision, quality and professionalism with him to help us work at high traffic events. Daryl is the logistics manager, driving staff and stock up and down the country to bring you the friendliest smiles in catering and the freshest ingredients. James has followed in his dads footsteps and can be found at all our events. He has a passion for social media and marketing and is the man behind our social media profiles. Don’t forget to like those pictures and videos! Tim is a full time teacher, but helped to shape the brand in the early years. You’ll still find him at the odd event, where he’ll try and tell you he’s the real boss. Please indulge him with a smile and a nod when he tells you this!

Our vans were fitted out at Amobox in Colchester. We have worked with Matt and the team for many years now and are over the moon with what they have created for us. The vans have been designed to maximise every inch of space we have to create the best pizza and fries we can for you.

All about our vans and us

Our vans is known as a Rice Treble. Built in the 1970s in Leicester for transporting large horses. Converted in June 2021 by Amobox in Colchester, designed by us.

We have traded in event catering since 2014, starting with wood-fired pizzas with our first brand, Bare Bones Pizza. We then added to the fleet with a coffee and churros van, Bare Bones Churro. Poutine Punks started trading in October 2021, serving delicious triple-cooked potato fries, cheese curds with brown gravy all made to order. We hope you enjoy
